Funding from People's Postcode Lottery players s a range of Liberty's work including their Advice and Information Service – which helps thousands of people each year who do not have anywhere else to turn – and a dedicated helpline for of the British armed forces. Players'  also helps Liberty seek justice for soldiers' families through litigation and campaigning, and enables Liberty to fight for the essential human rights of vulnerable migrants and asylum seekers.

Liberty's thousands of hold the powerful to so rights are protected and freedom is valued for all. They empower others to defend their own rights and those of their friends, families and communities.

Liberty is entirely independent, with principles guided by evidence and expertise – not political agenda, profit or popular opinion. Its team of experts work to protect people's rights through a combination of public and political campaigning, public interest litigation, media work and by offering free legal advice.
